This is a collection of short stories by Canadian writers with most, though not all, of the stories set in Canada. I can't remember the last time that I laughed so hard. The story about the teenage girl who tries to follow every single rule to be cool yet is consistently embarrassed in front of cute boys by her disaster-on-skis dad is priceless. The porcupines who collapse a series of buildings by eating wood and metal then dine on tires for dessert gives me a whole new respect for these creatures. Strong, strong recommend.I bought this book at the Calgary Zoo and my only regret is that I didn't buy the other two in the series. Fortunately, they're available through Amazon.
